Share Posts on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus

There are several easy-to-use Apps that allow you to share posts on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. Once you take a few minutes to set up these Apps, you only need to remember a few quick steps when posting. Sharing posts across these platforms is a time-saver as you are building a following on multiple networks.

Link Your Facebook Fan Page to Twitter

Your Facebook posts will automatically create a Tweet on your Twitter account. If you place a hashtag in your Facebook post it will function in Twitter too. To link your Fan Page to Twitter go to your Page’s Admin Panel

Click on Manage

Select Edit Page

Go to Resources

Click on Link to Twitter

Authorize the App and then choose what types of posts to share on Twitter:

Note: Keep in mind Twitter’s 140 character limit. Facebook posts longer than that will be truncated (a link back to Facebook will remain in the Tweet no matter what the length). If your Facebook post is longer than 140 characters make sure you put your most important information (and hashtags) in the first 120-140 characters to catch the attention of your Twitter followers.

Do Not Link Twitter to Facebook

There is an option in your Twitter settings to link your account to Facebook but we do not recommend this option. If you send more than 2-3 Tweets per day (and we recommend a minimum of 8 Tweets per day), your Facebook Page is going to be filled with Tweets which are not the kind of visually appealing content that encourages engagement on your Timeline. Your Fans may also get annoyed if their news feeds get cluttered with a large number of Tweets from you.

Instead,

Use the App: Selective Tweets to Facebook

By placing #fb at the end of a selected Tweet, you choose which Tweets will be shared on your Facebook Page.

Go to the Selective Tweets App

You have several options:

You can send Tweets from one Twitter account to multiple Pages as well as your Personal Profile.

Choose the option(s) that suit your needs:

Send Tweets to your Profile Page

Send Tweets to your Fan Page (any Page where you act as Admin)

Then just remember to type #fb at the end of the Tweets you want to share on Facebook. We recommend selecting no more than 2-3 Tweets to share, depending on how many Fan Page updates you post per day.

ManageFlitter for Google Plus Posts to Twitter

ManageFlitter is the application we recommend to clean up your Twitter account and unfollow people who do not follow you. But it also has a great feature that lets you share your Google Plus posts to Twitter.

You will need to get the url for your Google Plus account (go to your Google Plus profile and copy the url that appears in your browser).

Then go to ManageFlitter.com (Start, Connect to Twitter) and click on the Dashboard tab.

Then click on Google+ To Twitter – Turn on/off Google+ sharing

Paste your Google Plus url in the box under “Connect your Google+ Account”

Next, click on Expand in the Advanced Options box.

Choose the options that you want and Update settings

Notice that you will have to include #twt in all Google Plus posts you want to share on Twitter.

Also note in the FAQ section that only public Google Plus posts will be shared to Twitter.

Google Plus posts to Facebook, Twitter and more (Chrome users)

If you use Chrome as your browser you also have two options to share your Google Plus posts on additional networks:

Extended Share – which gives you the option to share your posts on numerous social networks (you select which ones to include in a drop-down menu which appears under each Google Plus post).

Replies and More – which gives you the option to share posts on Facebook, Twitter and email (again, in a drop-down menu under each post) as well as the option to easily “reply” to a post’s author.

Setting up these apps is an easy way to save time and share your posts on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. Let us know if you have any questions about using them!
