How to Use the Buffer App in Twitter

How to use the Buffer App in Twitter - videoIn addition to live interaction on Twitter, sharing great content (either your content or others’) is one of the main ways to build a community.  But the wrong way to go about it is sending out 10 Tweets in the fifteen minutes you spend on the site each morning: your Followers will feel like you are spamming them and you miss entire audiences that aren’t on the site at the same time you are.

The answer is to space your Tweets out during the day (with a goal of 10 daily): ReTweets, links to your blog posts, motivational quotes, etc. There are a variety of tools that allow you to schedule Tweets – one of my favorites is the Buffer App because it is so easy to use.

You can quickly set up this App to start adding Tweets to your “buffer”. Your Tweets are stored in the buffer and then sent out at scheduled times during the day.  This helps you better manage your time while making sure you are sending out a minimum of 6-10 Tweets per day.

I’ve put together a quick video to show you how I use Buffer.  Just click on the video to watch and then let me know if you have any questions!

Note: As I mentioned in the video, the free version of Buffer App is sufficient for one Twitter account. If you have more than one account, I suggest testing out the free version first to make sure you like it.

Hope this time management tip helps your social media strategy!
