Your Facebook Marketing System (5 Quick Tips)

If you are marketing your business on Facebook, then you need a system to stay on track and see positive results. Each business is unique, but there are a few things all good systems need to be effective.

Here are 5 quick tips to help you set up your system:

1. Communicate

You need to respond to messages and comments in a timely way, and set up notifications so you know when someone has communicated with your Page.

2. Network: Stay in Touch with Current Connections

Like and comment on other people’s Pages and posts.

Keep up with top connections (through Interest Lists or Notifications) and then occasionally share some of their posts to your Page (and tag their Page in your update).

3. Network: Make New Connections

Search for people and/or Pages (use Graph Search within Facebook or you can always Google someone). Like their Page and reach out to people you have met in real life at events.

Use Facebook Groups to connect with people in your target audience (use Graph Search to find Groups your current Fans belong to).

4. Post Helpful Content on a Consistent Basis

Set up a content calendar and a posting schedule. Then post a variety of content in different forms (videos, photos, text). Monitor your Page Insights to see what types of content your Fans engage with the most.

5. Schedule Business and Personal Time on Facebook

Schedule “business” time on Facebook and only concentrate on business activities during that period. Then you won’t feel guilty when you spend personal time catching up with family and friends.

Note: This presentation is part of my plan for re-purposing blog content. I used the major points from an older blog post (click here to see it), and turned them into a visual piece of content.
Now I can share this presentation on SlideShare, LinkedIn, and even turn the slides into a short video on YouTube.
I created this presentation using HaikuDeck and then SlideShare. HaikuDeck makes it easy to create a presentation using their database of images (I did use one of my own images from another source as well). Once you choose a layout design, you can easily add text and get a consistent look with the fonts and themes available.
For this particular presentation, I added a little text on the first slide in PowerPoint and then saved the whole thing as a pdf to upload into SlideShare.
